Its 2 in. x 4 in. mesh design prevents horses from stepping through, walking down, or getting over the fence, while the woven fence design allows it to flex on impact, preventing injury to horse or fence. When correctly installed with the smooth side inward, the Square Deal knots won't cut or damage horses. The fence is woven and not welded, so it helps resist being broken or eaten.
